An easy afternoon out of Hurghada. The 4×4s leave the coast road for the wadis of the Eastern Desert, where the mountains turn red at sunset. Tea is poured by a Bedouin family at their camp.
After dark, Hassan sets up a telescope: Saturn’s rings, the Moon’s craters and the Milky Way, far from the hotel lights.
